This is a short one, but it is a good one. Since the Junior Olympic Games are going on right now in Buenos Aires, Argentina, let’s take it all the way back to the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

There were so many inspiring commercials during the Olympics that highlighted heartfelt stories of the athletes. There was one commercial that was released by Al Jazeera (AJ+) after the Olympics that may have been most profound, at least for female athletes in the USA.

It’s no secret that the USA Olympic Team dominates at the games, but this video focused on the accomplishments of only female athletes from the United States. The video shows how many women won medals in the games compared to their male countrymen. If the US Women had their own Olympic team, they would have come in third place for overall medals won. THIRD PLACE!! That is incredible.
